My Winnipeg Therapist is looking for a therapist who loves what they do–and really wants time to spend on seeing clients without having to worry about spending on a website, marketing, calling and emailing potential clients, dealing with office administration issues and finances. We’ll do that stuff for you.

We are located at 205-698 Corydon Avenue in Winnipeg.

The services will be on a contract basis, with an agreed-upon fee per session.

As a member of our team, you are required to function as an independent mental health clinician. Along with your area of specialization, in order to build up your caseload, you will be expected to provide individual counselling in other areas that fit with your training and experience.

The position will be tailored to varying specialties or experiences that you have.

Providing treatment of a variety of mental health issues using evidence-based practice including CBT, Attachment, along with other modalities of therapy.

DUTIES

Providing high-quality therapeutic attention and treatment to clients
Responding to clients in a timely manner outside of therapy
Creating and maintaining clinical notes and other clinical records in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS

Hold a Masters in Social Work, Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy or Canadian Certified Counsellor
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Comprehensive knowledge and advanced level of practice in clinical assessment and treatment models
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex situations and manage sensitive issues
Comprehensive knowledge and skill in a range of intervention modalities
Demonstrated skills working with diverse populations and presenting issues
Skilled at working with people with co-occurring mental health disorders
Must be registered or eligible for registration with your professional college
Have professional practice liability insurance (or able to obtain)
