Nascent Materials was founded by industry veterans bringing together over ten years’ experience in cathode material synthesis, lithium-ion cell manufacturing, and lithium extraction. The company aims to rapidly develop and scale up the manufacturing of advanced cathode materials, with a focus on low-cost and high-safety chemistries. Our LFP and LMFP materials are ready for customer sampling. Beyond lithium, we are expanding the battery technology frontier to next-generation fire-safe Sodium-Ion Batteries (NIBs) built from plentiful raw materials (no nickel or cobalt). Our LFP and LMPF cathode materials deliver among the best specs in the market, capitalizing on the R&D expertise in the US coupled with latest scale-up manufacturing knowhow from abroad.

LFP, given its widespread development in US and abroad, is maturing as a product that is approaching its theoretical capacity limit. Nascent’s approach is to apply the latest synthesis techniques to deliver industry leading specs.

We are also developing LMFP as the next advancement over LFP to deliver higher energy densities while keeping cost and safety advantages of LFP.
