The majority of current executives and emerging talent have already been assessed multiple times over the course of their career and most believe they have a fairly good understanding of their strengths and opportunities. Regardless of whether they are high potentials on a clear succession path or senior executives in established roles, everyone has the potential to develop further. Enhancing self awareness is the starting point.
While multiple assessments can be undertaken to support development, one of the most common and insightful ways of gathering data to support the development of an executive is to undertake a 360 degree assessment of the individual. Collecting data from multiple feedback sources helps provide a rounded perspective of an individual, and can be used independently or (more commonly) in conjunction with personality data to identify developmental focus areas.
