You will not see many properties that have not included stepping stones somewhere in the garden. Stepping stones are functional, cost effective and are an easy way to add interest, colour and even a touch of fun. From completing the side of your house to an odd stepper to your metrebox ,creating hop scotch for the children or adding those finishing touches to a themed garden, Dale Stone have the perfect stepping stone for you.

Stepping stones can be used with gravel to create an easy pathway that can be completed within varying budgets. Eg a 300 x 300 Paver with recycled gravel is a great low budget option or you may prefer a granite paver with Snow white stone to add a touch of luxury.

We supply a wide variety of gravels and stones that can be delivered with your stepping stones as well as commercial grade weed mat in 0.9, 1.8 or 3.6 wide along with pins for securing the mat in place.

All of our regular pavers can be used as stepping stones or you may want something a little different Like Tobishii or sleeper style.

All Stepping stones are available for delivery or to collect from Dale Stone Paving in Armadale. We mainly hold Charcoal and cream in stock but most stepping stones are available in all the Dale Stone colours.

We also hold in stock granite, exposed aggregate and honed aggregate stepping stones which can be viewed on the relevant pages.

We recommend for stability laying stepping stones on sand and cement mix ( available for sale in premixed bags) , if however you think you may want to move them later then bedding on some sand will be sufficient.

When laying stepping stones remember to reduce the levels where you are laying the paver so you don’t have to use more stone than necessary and measure the gap between the pavers for the perfect finish. A final tip is to use a mallet and a spirit level to ensure all pavers are the same level.
